About the position
We are offering a PhD position in agricultural microbiology, focusing on the soil-plant system at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
Research Focus
The successful candidate will investigate the microbial ecology of the grapevine rhizosphere and phyllosphere. The research will apply omics technologies to assess microbiota composition in response to stress, agronomic practices, and microbial biosolutions. Key activities include:
- Analyzing NGS data using bioinformatics tools
- Developing microbial indicators of soil quality
- Applying cultivation techniques and formulating protocols for field application of microorganisms to maximize their efficacy and survival
Requirements
