Accurate and critical: You work in an organised way, monitor the quality of experiments and think critically about results. Strong analytical skills: You process large amounts of data on gene expression and molecular analyses in a structured way. Communicative: You communicate fluently in English during international collaborations and scientific presentations. We offer We offer you a open-ended contract with a competitive salary based on your degree. You will be appointed in salary scale A165. You can make a calculation of your monthly salary, a holiday bonus and your end-of-year allowance via de Salarissimulator (note, under salary system select "volgens anciënniteit – according to seniority” as your relevant experience may be taken into account). As part of a European project, you will conduct innovative research on the regeneration of new plants from apple protoplasts. You will investigate which genes are expressed under different culture conditions and how this affects regeneration. In addition, you will use chemical separation techniques such as HPLC to identify molecules that have a positive or negative effect on regeneration. You will combine and coordinate a wide range of in vitro laboratory work with molecular research, data analysis, and scientific communication. You will work independently, but at the same time be part of a team of experienced researchers and collaborate with international partners. Need more information?
