About the position
The Plant Metabolism and Stable Isotope Biology group at ETH Zurich invites applications for a Doctoral position focused on plant metabolites and carbon metabolic shifts. This research project aims to develop novel methods for tracking metabolic processes in crop science using stable isotope applications and advanced data analysis.
Your responsibilities
- Conduct research on plant carbon metabolic shifts using stable isotope labeling techniques.
- Develop and apply analytical methods for tracking metabolic processes in crop plants.
- Perform data analysis and interpretation of isotope-based experiments.
- Contribute to scientific publications and present findings at conferences.
Your profile
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in plant biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field.
- Strong background in plant metabolism and stable isotope applications.
- Experience with data analysis and relevant software tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
