Position Description

Doctoral student in the Division of Materials Chemistry, Laboratory for Precipitation Processes, for work in the field of natural sciences, chemistry field – on the HRZZ project “Horizon Europe Danube4all”, 1 executor. Job title: Contest point 11 – Doctoral Student.

Requirements

In addition to the general criteria for employment from Article 39, paragraphs 4 and 6 of the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• University graduate study or university integrated undergraduate and graduate study in chemistry, applied chemistry, biology, environmental sciences, molecular biology, biotechnology, pharmacy or agronomy.
• An overall grade point average at previous levels of study (undergraduate and graduate, or integrated study) that ensures enrollment in the doctoral study of chemistry.
• Inclination for experimental work in a biochemical laboratory.
• Active knowledge of English in speech and writing.

Preferences

Preference will be given to creative candidates with prior knowledge of analytical chemistry, with a clearly expressed interest and practical experience in analytical chemistry or microbiology or molecular biology, and with a willingness to work in more demanding fieldwork research.

Employment Details

The employment relationship for the position of assistant is based on a fixed term of 5 years. With a candidate for the position of assistant who has already been employed in the position of assistant, the employment relationship can only be based on the remaining time of up to 5 years, and the candidate is obliged to submit a certificate of employment from the previous employer or previous employment contracts for the position of assistant.

An assistant selected for the associate position of assistant is obliged to enroll in a doctoral study.

The employment relationship for all associate positions is based on a probationary period of 6 months.

A candidate selected for an associate position who has obtained a higher education qualification abroad must, prior to employment, submit an Opinion on the Evaluation of a Foreign Higher Education Qualification issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education.
