About the Role

The Danish Center for Ultrahigh-Field NMR Spectroscopy at the Department of Chemistry, Aarhus University, invites applications for a three-year postdoctoral position in the research group of Prof. Thomas Vosegaard. The project focuses on combining state-of-the-art instrumentation and experiments with computational modelling of solid-state NMR experiments. The successful candidate will strengthen the group’s newly developed web-based platform EasyNMR (easynmr.pastis.dk) by embedding and developing additional tools for data processing and analysis. Application areas include materials/catalysis, lipidomics, and NMR of food systems, with a goal of remaining domain agnostic in the analytical approaches.

Project Goals

  • Develop and integrate new algorithms for modelling solid-state NMR experiments into the EasyNMR platform.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of solid-state NMR experiments.
  • Collaborate with team members to refine project directions and applications.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should:

  • Hold a PhD in NMR spectroscopy or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrate experience in solid-state NMR spectroscopy.
  • Be familiar with programming, preferably dynamic web programming.
  • Show proven scientific excellence through publications and research activities.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively, contributing creatively to the project.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills and good collegiality.
