About the position

The Julius Kühn-Institut (JKI) – Federal Research Centre for Cultivated Plants – combines the expertise of 18 specialised institutes to develop resource-efficient, economically viable and socially accepted crop production systems in the context of climate change. Within the HORIZON EUROPE-funded AGROECOLOGY Partnership (AEP), the JKI contributes to research and innovation activities supporting the transition towards resilient and sustainable agri-food systems, with a focus on co-creation approaches, monitoring and system-oriented methods.

At the Institute for Strategies and Consequences Assessment in Kleinmachnow, we are seeking a committed, team-oriented researcher (w/m/d) with a sound understanding of agroecological systems and sustainability transformations. The work is situated at the interface of socio-economics, multi-actor approaches and decision-support systems in the context of agroecological transformation, combining analytical research with practice- and policy-relevant questions in an international research environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the conceptual development of approaches for assessing biodiversity and socio-economic impacts;
  • Contribute to the further development of socio-economic indicators and participatory approaches, and identify gaps and needs in existing decision-support systems;
