The Bavarian State Institute for Viticulture and Horticulture (LWG) is a modern, service-oriented teaching and research institution within the Bavarian State Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism. It is responsible for applied research and education. The position is located at the Institute for Urban Green and Landscape Construction (ISL) in Veitshöchheim.
About the role
We are looking for a Scientific Researcher (m/f/d) for Research, Consulting and Teaching in Garden, Landscape and Sports Field Construction. The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and is advertised under reference number 0302/2026-13.
Responsibilities
- Teaching at the State Master and Technician School in the subjects of Green Area Construction Technology and Construction Operations, as well as in interdisciplinary project teaching.
- Contributing to the conception, installation and supervision of practice-oriented experiments in construction and vegetation technology.
- Compiling research reports, publishing findings in relevant specialist journals, and presenting results at conferences.
- Representing the institute on standards committees and working groups of relevant professional bodies.
- Organising and moderating events and workshops for the continuing education of relevant target groups.
- Supporting the institute in the digitalisation of work processes, for example in landscaping-related tendering and planning procedures.
Requirements
- A scientific university degree (Dipl.-Ing. Univ. or M.Sc.) in landscape management, landscape architecture, landscape planning, landscape ecology or a comparable field with a planning-technical orientation.
- Professional practice in the execution or planning of garden and landscape construction projects, including professional experience in the handling of construction projects.
- Basic knowledge of CAD and AVA software; confident use of standard office programmes.
- An independent and responsible working style, a confident manner, and good oral and written communication skills.
